Police in the US have charged a 28-year-old man in connection with the biggest case of attempted credit-card fraud in the country's history. Albert Gonzalez and two accomplices are accused of hacking into the payment systems of several retailers and stealing data relating to 130 million credit and debit cards. They allegedly plan to sell the information on to criminals. Mr Gonzalez could face 20 years in prison for wire fraud and five years for conspiracy.
