Revenue is continuing to investigate a cigarette seizure in Dublin at the weekend. Cigarettes worth €3.5m were recovered by Customs officers as part of Operation Monarch on Friday. The cigarettes were found on a container which came in from China. They were marked on the ships manifest as "aluminium foil trays". Officers kept the container under surveillance and subsequently seized a truck and trailer. A private residence was also searched and a number of people were questioned in connection with the seizure.
