Gardai in Dublin have arrested two people following a large seizure of the party drug BZP in the north of the city yesterday. The drug used to be freely available in so-called "head shops" throughout the country, but was recently outlawed by the Government. Yesterday afternoon, Gardai seized 200,000 BZP pills during a raid on a house in the Lanesborough area of Finglas carried out as part of Operation Anvil, which targets organised criminals. Detectives say the haul was worth nearly €1.2m. Herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €7,500 was also seized. A 17-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.
