Fine Gael and the Labour Party have strongly ruled out any Government partnership with Fianna Fail. Both parties say a radical change of Government is needed and they will refuse to team up with Fianna Fail under any circumstances. Labour's Eamon Gilmore and Fine Gael's Richard Bruton made the comments at an IMPACT public service conference in Portlaoise today. Both politicians told delegates that they would push for radical reform of the public sector, which would inevitably mean pay cuts and job losses. Deputy Bruton insisted that going into Government with Fianna Fail is out of the question.
