The Leader of the Greens has launched a scathing attack on Fine Gael over its policy on planning. John Gormley has accused the Party of hypocrisy. He cited Fine Gael's record on planning in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, home town of its party leader Enda Kenny. He said Fine Gael councillors there attempted to re-zone land in order to triple the population within five years from 10,000 to 30,000. John Gormley accused the main opposition parties of engaging in a planning frenzy.
