A suicide bomber has killed at least two people at an Islamic university in the Pakistani capital today. The attack happened in a female cafeteria at the facility in Islamabad, which is attended by students from around the world. Pakistan has been hit by a series of bomb attacks in recent weeks as the country's army mounts its latest offensive against Taliban militants based near the Afghan border. Around 30,000 soldiers are taking part in the continuing assault on the South Waziristan tribal area, which has been under the control of militants for several years. The area is alleged to be a major sanctuary for al-Qa'ida operatives and a possible hiding place for Osama bin Laden.
