More good news for motorists who want a premium class car in the driveway. Volvo has introduced price cuts for a big number of models including a huge €11,000 drop in the price of the top-line XC90 DS 7-seater AWD.

The cuts apply to 7 models but there is also something for every Volvo buyer, a free specification upgrade on models such as the S40, V50 and XC60, in some cases up to €4,000 if they order their chosen model before December 31.

The price drop starts with the C30 1.6 litre which goes from €26,060 to €23,820, a saving of €2,240. The C30 1.6 DSE shows a saving of €3,750 at the new price of €25,930. The V80 1.6D is also cut in price by €2,700 at €34,500 and the more upmarket S80 2-litre DS drops by €3,750 to €40,230. In the V70 range the 1.6D goes from €39,970 to €37,220 a drop of ,€2,700 with the 2-litre DSE version dropped by €3,750 to €43,450.

An added bonus to buying Volvo next year is that there will be a 3-year/100,000 km warranty.
