Irish developer Paddy Shovlin, best known for his Beacon developments in Sandyford in south Dublin, and fellow investors the Times of India are launching an 80s pop music radio station in the UK using their Absolute radio brand. The station will play hits from the likes of Spandau Ballet (above) and Duran Duran. Absolute was known as Virgin Radio before it was bought last year by Shovlin and his business partners for more than €60m. It will broadcast on the internet from early December.
