Last week's grocery market share figures stated that Tesco's share of the market in the Republic had remained steady at 26.1%. Due to an error by the market research company in the collation of the data, that figure excluded the sales from Republic of Ireland customers travelling across the border and buying goods in Tesco. That means that Tesco's share of the grocery market in the Republic should have been 26.5%, an increase of 0.4% on the same period last year.
