Creditors of embattled developer Liam Carroll who agreed to reduce their bills in recent weeks have now been told that, because his Danninger vehicle is in receivership, "we can no longer issue cheques" and invoices must be forwarded to the receivers.
The creditors were contacted in September and asked to accept a discount of nearly 20% on their bills and to resubmit them showing the revised figures to ensure prompt payment.
Carroll, who owns land with the Dublin Airport Authority near the airport, has also asked Fingal county council to review the contribution scheme drawn up to fund the Metro West proposal "due to the current environment" and the proximity to the public safety zones (PSZs) that surround airports.
The submission by their Monear Cork vehicle, which owns the Horizon lands next to the Harristown bus depot, also asks that the existing PSZs be reviewed as they are "excessive for development of this area, which will have excellent public transport interchanges as well as proximity to one of the largest employers in Dublin city – Dublin Airport". They want a "more mixed use flexible zoning" to "take advantage of the optimal location of the lands".
