Kantaka Enterprises, which is linked to the Shelbourne Hotel at St Stephen's Green in Dublin, has been strike-off-listed by the Companies Office after it failed to file accounts.
The company last filed accounts in 2007; at that time it said that its shareholders, which included property adviser Bernard Doyle and businessman John Sweeney, would continue to support the company.
Property adviser David Courtney and developers Bernard McNamara and Jerry O'Reilly are the other shareholders, according to its last filed annual return.
Kantaka was the vehicle used by the owners of the Shelbourne Hotel two years ago when they sought to develop eight additional serviced suites in a two-floor block over the existing hotel.
However, the application for planning was refused because the local authority felt the proposed development "would seriously detract from the visual amenities of this protected structure".
Kantaka's shareholders bought the hotel for €120m in 2004 and spent more than €80m refurbishing and extending the property.
