Has the weather been good enough to boost Bulmers maker C&C? The Clonmel-based brewery's business is still heavily dependent on cider sales and it's a drink that does well when the sun shines and suffers during inclement weather.

Investors will also be interested in the first full indications of how the integration of Tennent's and Gaymers is progressing. The board said in its last update that it was delivering on expectations, particularly important because bottled cider sales are down more than 13% in volume terms in Britain year-on-year, whereas draught sales are up, and this is where Gaymers has a better presence.

Product-wise, it'll be no surprise if it launches new flavours for Bulmers and given what's happened previously it'll probably be something that Swedish rivals Kopparberg and Rekorderlig already make. Our bet, with no inside knowledge, is we'll see a strawberry and lime flavour before June next year.

C&C's interim results are released on 12 October
