Usher Irish Road Club's Conor Murphy claimed victory over Mark Cassidy of the An Post/Sean Kelly Racing team at the end of a tough 120 kilometres in the Monasterevin/Kildare area on stage one of the Paddy Flanagan Memorial Memorial yesterday. Murphy along with 14 others broke clear early on.
The race continues today with a time trial and a criterium in Kildare town.
