Holders Cratloe are still on course to make it two-in-a-row Clare senior hurling titles, as a result of a deserved 2-14 to 1-13 win over neighbours Clonlara in a replayed semi-final at Cusack Park, Ennis yesterday. Though slow to settle, the winners outclassed their opponents in the second half and a goal either side of half-time from full-forward Cathal McInerney sent them on their way. Within three minutes of the half-time whistle, Clonlara were 1-6 to 0-3 in front but a McInerney goal and a pair of points from impressive corner-forward Conor McGrath left Cratloe trailing by just two points at the break. McInerney poached another goal five minutes into the second period and gave his side a lead that they never relinquished thereafter.
