Retail group Musgrave is to restructure its wholesale division. The company will focus on using its depot in Ballymun, next to Ikea in north Dublin, as a hub for its food service and delivered retail business.
Retail Intelligence reported last week that the restructuring would affect about 80 jobs across the island and that it will take place over the next four months. The bulletin said the process will be led by new Musgrave Wholesale Partners managing director Martin Kelleher, who previously led the integration of the Haslett business into Musgrave NI.
He said "every effort" had been made to minimise job losses, but a "reshaped" business would help to bring prices down for customers.
