A spectator was killed at the Armoy road races in County Antrim today. A rider and a second spectator were also injured during the accident on the Dean's Rise part of the course during the second lap of the final race. The incident, on the Ballycastle Road, occurred at around 4.30pm. The PSNI and Motorcycle Union of Ireland (Ulster Centre) are investigating. Clerk of Course Bill Kennedy said he and Armoy Motorcycle and Road Racing Club are devastated by the news. 'The incident took place during the second lap of the final race of the Armoy Road Race,' said Mr Kennedy. 'Our thoughts and prayers are very much with the family at this sad time.' The injuries sustained by a rider and second spectator are not believed to be serious.
