More than 30 workers from the Carroll's Joinery plant in Ballingarry are picketing the company's head office in west Dublin's this afternoon. Employees have also staged a protest outside the plant on the Tipperary-Kilkenny border as part of a dispute over redundancy pay. They are unhappy with the company's failure to abide by a Labour Court recommendation that they be offered four weeks' severance pay for every year of service. SIPTU says the workers will continue campaigning until they receive justice.
