A badly burned body discovered in Spain has been identified as that of a missing Irishman. The body was originally discovered in April, but it has taken some time to get a positive identification. It was found by a passer-by near a football ground in Las Mijas in Malaga. A prosthetic knee which was found at the scene helped to identify the man. Both the man's girlfriend and daughter had reported the 57-year-old missing. The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that it's providing consular assistance to the man's family.
