A 61-year-old Englishman has pled guilty to the killing of a Co. Kerry musician 12 years ago. Robert Anthony, with a previous address at Derrylough in Killarney, admitted the manslaughter of 19-year-old Philip O'Sullivan. The musician's body was found by the side of the main Kenmare-Castletownbere road nine miles outside Kenmare in August 1997. He had been stabbed to death. Robert Anthony - who had lived in the area for some years - was arrested hours later and charged with murder. While on bail, he absconded to England, but was extradited back last year after being arrested by police in London. He appeared before the Central Criminal Court today ahead of his trial, and entered a plea of guilty to manslaughter, which was accepted by the state. He was remanded in custody for sentence on the 6th of October.
