The Taoiseach has unveiled a major new initiative between the country's top two universities, aimed at creating thousands of jobs over the next ten years. Trinity College and UCD are teaming up to create what has been described as a new fourth level academy, similar in concept to the IFSC in Dublin. Up to one thousand graduates will be trained every year in specialised areas, in a bid to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. It is estimated that this will result in the creation of around 300 new enterprises in this country over the next ten years.
