Geoff Salters, the Belfast businessman who co-founded the hugely successful SHS Group has passed away.

Salters, who was 64, and his family owned half of the group, which is probably best known for making ready-to-drink alcopop WKD and also owns the 1st Choice Brand found in many supermarkets across the country. It is also involved in a wide variety of other activities.

Earlier this month,
SHS Group partnered with
Culina to launch a new
joint venture supply chain solution across Ireland targeted at food and drink manufacturers.

Operating under the Culina SHS Ireland name, the company is set to open a new state-of-the-art ambient and chilled warehouse on Aerodrome Business Park, south of Dublin.
