Italian food I've had a home in Italy for many years, in Tuscany, near to the city of Lucca, which is famous for its olive oil. We also eat quite a lot of Italian food at home in London and there are lots of good Italian restaurants in London. My wife is a good cook and my friend is Jamie Oliver – we've got all of his cookbooks!
24-hour trips I've been to Delhi, the Great Wall of China, Vietnam and Cambodia for the day. It's because I'm already travelling for seven months of the year. There were lots of places I wanted to go to so I thought I'd either never go to them, because there's never enough time, or I'd try and do them in a day. It's a little bit of fun. I arrive at midnight and leave at midnight.
Lack of routine I like having no routine. Every day is a new day. The only routine I have really is most places where I am in the world, I swim every morning. I've been doing that for 20 odd years.
Simple things I'm often asked about luxury and I think a lot of people think of the luxury of a Bentley or the luxury of a smart handbag but to me luxury is about the rare moments when you get nothing, like a blue sky, an empty beach, a wild flower field.
Cycling As a teenager I was a budding racing cyclist and then had a crash and ended up in this world, fashion. But I love cycling and I love the idea of wind in your face and the fresh air.
Litter There's an exhibition coming up in the Design Museum in London called Super Contemporary where designers from different walks of life were asked to design things which are missing from or enhance London in some way. I've designed a litter bin which is a five-foot-tall rabbit holding a hoop with a transparent bag with carrots printed on it, into which you put your rubbish. Everytime you put some litter into it, his ears light up. The idea is that it's a fun thing to do so people might actually make the effort to walk that four feet instead of dropping their sandwich wrapper on the ground.
Bad manners It's about having a concentration span that's long enough to actually listen to somebody's answer when you ask them something, like 'How are you?' This current recession might be readjustment about understanding of people's priorities.
Greed I do hate greed, that's for sure. We have so much information about each other now that we often get very jealous of each other – 'he's earning that much, or she's got that car' or whatever, so it often pushes people to be very greedy and want things that are unnecessary.
Travel announcements I understand why you have to have them but when you travel as much as I do when you hear these announcements that constantly repeat themselves on airplanes, trains or at airports you want to have a magic wand and try to make them disappear.
