Oh we do love a good row. And when it involves booze and rugby, it gets even better. Munster play Leinster in Thomond Park in Limerick on 2 April. This also happens to be Good Friday and pubs, as every Irish person is aware, don't open on this day.

However, the 26,000 fans attending the match won't go thirsty because they'll be able to buy a drink at the revamped stadium (it has a National Stadiums' Licence), and the bar will be opened for two hours before the match and one hour after.

This makes the publicans of Limerick very, very angry indeed. Well, losing the potential custom of all those thirsty men and women will do that to a publican alright.

Dave Hickey, of South's pub on O'Connell Avenue said, "I think this is terrible, having the match on Good Friday when Limerick city is going through a terrible time business-wise."

They've lobbied for the fixture to be changed and there's still a possibility that it might be moved to Easter
Saturday.

But if it remains as is and you're thinking of heading to the game in order to grab a few legit Good Friday scoops, you're out of luck because the match is a sell-out.

You'll just have to join the ginormous off-licence queues on Holy Thursday or buy a train ticket to Cherry Orchard and prop up the bar in Heuston Station.
