I work hard. Most of my exercise is not part of a regime. I walk the dog, punch a bag and get down on stage to funky Jesus and The Mudbug Club.

What do you watch on TV?

I was a big fan of The Sopranos so to aid my withdrawal I am watching The Wire on DVD. The Wire is without a doubt one of the best TV series ever.

I admire anybody who is a giver. I was brought up to share what I have. It is way too easy to be a taker in this world, when there is plenty to go around.

Yeah, see you at the Sugar Club – 26 November and 18 December... It's going to be fan-fabulous!

People often say to me 'I am happy in my skin'. I like the fact that I consider myself a lucky person, therefore I am lucky and I am not afraid to work hard.

How punctual are you?

Probably 'fish'.

Touring north America with a rock band throughout the 1990s.

How long does it take you to get ready?

I am always ready.

What is your biggest regret?

I once ordered champagne in a restaurant in Delhi. Alcohol was fairly rare in India at that time. The head waiter brought a bottle and proceeded to shake it vigorously as if he had just won the grand prix. I jumped up and stopped him just before he popped the cork. I will never know if he planned to completely soak us with bubbly or not.

What can you not live without?

Laughter.

Who was your first crush?

When I was a kid growing up in south London I fell for a cockney girl called Cheryl. I made her laugh, which did eventually lead to a kiss but she ended up with one of the big boys.

Mostly I don't worry, just the odd panic attack.

Best not talk about that.

I am always the last one in bed, which can be a very bad thing, especially at festivals like Glastonbury.
