Developers Laragan Homes have slashed prices by up to €600,000 at its upscale luxury development in Kilmacanogue, Co Wicklow.
There are five properties for sale: two five-bed detached houses measuring 295sq m (3175sq ft) from €1.195m, one six-bed 317sq m (3,411sq ft) house with double detached garage at €1.25m, and two larger six-bed 360sq m (3,874sq ft) homes, also with double detached garage, from €1.4m.
"These are high-end homes at low-end prices; the five-bed house is just under €380 per sq ft, which is incredible value for money," says selling agent Steven Manek of Douglas Newman Good.
There are a total of 32 homes in the development – a mix of four- and seven-bed detached houses – laid out in attractively designed cul de sacs with mature planting.
Those who have bought here are mainly locals, although a few Irish celebs are known to have bought, including TV gardener Diarmuid Gavin. Now that prices have been reduced, it is expected the remaining houses will have equal appeal with Dublin-based families looking for a larger home but keen to be close to good transport links.
Designed to the highest specification and with all the latest in high-tech gadgetry, the interiors of these homes do not disappoint. Standard features are impressive and include underfloor heating in kitchens and utility rooms, McNally kitchens with Kuppersbusch appliances, central vacuum system and a centrally managed entertainment system with surround sound – to name but a few.
An ingenious home telemetry system also allows for the heating and lights to be remotely activated by mobile phone text.
Rocky Valley Crescent is situated close to the N11 and the M50 as well as the Dart, schools and other amenities of neighbouring Bray and Greystones.
