Leinster Colleges SH B semi-final

Coláiste Eoin 1-13

Coláiste eamon RíS 1-10

A superb display by corner-forward Sean McGrath helped Dublin side Colaíste Eoin overcome a six-point deficit to advance to the Leinster final at a windy Ratheneiska yesterday. It was the Kilkenny side that streaked ahead first, before McGrath hit four points and set up Eoin Cronin for another. Callan finished the half the stronger with points from Jason Corcoran and Shane Bergin to lead 1-6 to 0-5 at the break.

In the second period, McGrath took up where he left off in the first half adding two early points, and in the 43rd minute the same player got the final touch to a good move to give his team the lead for the first time. Although Callan got back on level terms with an Egan point it proved to be their last score and McGrath added two more in the closing minutes to complete the win.
