A Polish man has been jailed for seven years for dangerous driving causing the death of a Cork woman last year. 26-year old Lukasz Lachowski - with an address at Edward Street, Kilmallock, Co Limerick - drove through a red light at speed while drunk, killing 26-year-old Gillian Drinan, whose car he crashed in to. The incident happened at the junction of Gearney's Boreen and the Commons Road in Cork city on the 24th of August 2008. Mr. Lachowski was also disqualified from driving for twenty years.
