Gardaí are treating as suspicious the death of an elderly man in Co. Limerick. The 92-year-old was found dead at his home in Ardagh on Friday. Gardaí have said that following a post-mortem examination they are now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. The body of 92-year-old James Mulqueen was discovered at his home at Balymackeery, Kilcolman in Ardagh near Newcastle West last Friday. Gardaí say there was no sign of a forced entry to the house and it was initially thought Mr. Mulqueen had died of natural causes but following a post-mortem conducted yesterday they are now treating his death as suspicious. The 92-year-old lived alone in the house which has been sealed off for technical examination. Gardaí are seeking the assistance of anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area between 10am on Thursday morning and 10.30am Friday morning.
