What did you have for breakfast today?


I had fruit and boiled egg on a bread roll with bacon and cheese. I also had a cup of Earl Grey tea.


If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?


It's sunny, so the nearest golf course. If I could choose the golf course, it would be anywhere in Connemara, which I find very beautiful.


What is your comfort food?


It would have to be potatoes.


What website do you look at most?


My own, I'm afraid. It takes a lot of work. Then I would also keep an eye on the BBC website and the golf observer Geoff Shackleford at GeoffShackleford.com


How often do you exercise?


I binge and purge. When I have a life, I ride my bike most days for an hour or so. But my career often sabotages my life. I am not complaining, I have a good life and I love doing what I do.


What do you watch on TV?


The Wire, or whatever my wife chooses, to be honest. She likes to watch Mad Men at the moment.


What living person do you most admire?


I don't know, you can't separate the person from the art and one always seems to undermine the other.


How punctual are you?


I am actually very punctual.


What do you most like about yourself?


I'm very punctual so that would be one thing I like most about myself.


What word or phrase do you overuse?


I say 'Like' and 'Kind of' so much I sound like a 14-year-old girl at times. But I do still try to avoid lol, etc... and not only am I punctual, I also try to punctuate. It's not always 'your' ? it's often 'you're'.


What is your favourite cinema?


There's an old art deco place near Times Square in New York that we saw the re-released Star Wars in. That was pretty fab.


What was the last text you sent?


"It's OK that you woke me up in the middle of the night when I was jet lagged. Amazingly, I did get back to sleep."


What radio station do you listen to?


I listen to NPR - that's National Public Radio.


Are you good with credit cards?


Yes, I am good with credit cards.


What was your best holiday?


The summers of the 1970s in north Wales were very nice and hold some fond memories for me.


How long does it take you to get ready?


In the morning - about half an hour.

I cannot live without Marmite.

It has to be Emma Peel in The Avengers.

I flew to Hamburg. Not business class.

I would continue to make music.
