She might be a whizz writing romantic novels, Hollywood screenplays and TV series, but there's one writing gig Cecilia Ahern says she'd have to turn down: becoming her dad, Bertie's official biographer.
Cecelia told me, "I write fiction and wouldn't be able to take on something of that magnitude.
"It would take a huge amount of research and a proper knowledge of politics."
However, she says she would like any biographer to capture the real Bertie Ahern and not just the man we read about as Taoiseach.
"It would be important for someone to write it who knows who he is, not just what he has done, but to see what he is like. I suppose I have been able to see that but I still wouldn't do it. I think he could get someone more appropriate than me," she said.
Cecelia will open her first play, Mrs Whippy, at Dublin's Liberty Hall Theatre on 29 October.
It's about a middle aged woman's love affair with an ice cream vendor.
We can already hear the (raspberry) ripple of applause.
