HEALTH minister Mary Harney yesterday agreed to meet with hospital consultants to discuss their claims of a breach in their working contracts.


As a result of the budget, those earning €200,000 or more will face a 15% cut in pay. However, consultants are claiming some will face cuts of up to 30% due to a failure to implement the terms of new contracts. Harney will meet them on Tuesday, following a meeting of the Irish Hospital Consultant's Association yesterday.
