PARTS of Ireland look set for a white Christmas this year with warning of severe conditions into the week ahead.
Weather forecasters say the cold snap is set to continue and with no end in sight, meaning wintry showers across much of the country.
According to Met Éireann, severe night frosts, sleet and snow showers are all on the cards over the coming days but predictions are still falling a little short of Christmas day.
Tonight temperatures will drop to as low as minus five degrees.
