As a law-abiding resident of Northern Ireland, I sincerely hope that the police apprehend those evil murderers responsible for the deaths of the young soldiers at Masserene. However, I have watched in disbelief the abominable treatment meted out to your very able and responsible journalist Suzanne Breen. She has been dragged through the legal process in a truly horrible manner, when common sense told us that she should be allowed to do her job without being asked to betray her sources, however reprehensible those sources themselves might be.

Sincere congratulations to Ms Breen
and to the Sunday Tribune on what has to be a good day for the openness of the press and the rights of individual and collective journalists.
