Justine McCarthy complains that TDs work only 100 days a year. Presumably, this is based on the number of days on which the Dáil sits in full plenary session. Applying the same logic to the Sunday Tribune, Ms McCarthy only works for 52 days.

Given her strong feelings about 'spoiled' politicians, might I suggest that McCarthy should release details of her salary, expenses, allowances, increments, travel, holidays and pension entitlements so that we may carry out a more comprehensive comparison. Not to mention the cost to the taxpayer of subventing RTÉ, TG4 and the provision of facilities to journalists in Leinster House.
