Debate on homosexuality is singularly one-sided

While not studying logic/philosophy in my degree course, I feel I have attained a reasonably competent grasp of same, allied to good old-fashioned common sense. Living in Ireland for the last few weeks has been like existing in some kind of deranged, parallel universe.

You are so right Eric. I have never seen such bigoted, ill-informed, ignorant comment by so called "christians" in my life. Despite the fact that many Irish have traveled, the internet is available widespread and we have satellite TV, the amount of evil intolerance displayed by so called educated people if frightening. The debate is horrifically one sided by right wing obsessives. The wonderful contributions our fine Gay men and women have contributed to our country and society have gone mostly unacknowledged.

Thanks Alice, very balanced/enlightening. I must try to suppress my evil right-wing intolerant tendencies. Believe it or not, my favourite writer is Oscar Wilde. Maybe there's hope for me after all !.
