FOUR people were injured in a crash between a garda patrol car and another vehicle at the Red Cow Roundabout in Dublin in the early hours of yesterday morning. The accident occurred at 3am. A man is in a serious condition in hospital following the crash. Three others, including two gardaí, were injured and taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Gardaí say they were investigating another incident that occurred around 2.15am. The patrol car was parked when the crash happened. The scene was sealed off yesterday as a technical examination was carried out.

As a garda car was involved in the incident, the Garda Ombudsman's Office had an investigation team at the scene as a matter of protocol.
