Ozzy Osbourne described the success of the reality TV show about his family as "terrifying", in an extract from his memoirs published yesterday.


The former Black Sabbath frontman (60) said appearing in the MTV series The Osbournes was like being "strapped to a rocket and being blasted through the stratosphere at warp factor 10".


His memoirs, titled I Am Ozzy, describe his early success, his marriage to Sharon and his battle against drink and drugs. He also describes the infamous incident when he bit the head off a bat during a concert .
