The excellent investigative article by Suzanne Breen (News, 4 April) shows the real danger and extent still posed by dissident republicans.
The ongoing paramilitary campaign being carried out by micro groups of dissident republicans clearly illustrates there are men and women prepared to take on the British.
Recent bomb attacks, the murder of two British soldiers and PSNI officer Steven Carroll, and one of their own members, Kieran Doherty, as well as the ongoing attacks on the PSNI, show that dissident republicans will continue in their war as long as they are gaining support.
The people of Ireland have rejected violence in favour of peace. Mainstream republicans have also accepted the road to peace.
Dissident republicans should respect the wishes of the vast majority of the people of Ireland, both north and south, who want to live in peace .
