REALM Communications, the company behind the Irish Psychics Live premium rate phone service, posted pre-tax profits of €1.7 million last year.
The profit was down by just under 3% on the previous year, according to figures just filed at the Companies Registration Office. Turnover was not disclosed in the accounts, which cover the year to 30 April 2009.
Retained profits rose to €9.65 million from €8.5 million the previous year. No dividend was paid out during the year.
Irish Psychics Live is 75%-owned by Tom Higgins with the rest owned by Theresa Dunne. Higgins set up Irish Psychics Live, which runs other premium rate phone services, in the late 1990s and the company employs 25 people.
Remuneration for the company's two directors, Higgins and Dunne, rose to €426,654 from €302,756 a year earlier. The higher paid director received €304,779.
