Once again, the Sunday Tribune has hit the RTE nail on the head in Una Mullally's article (Comment, 7 February).
There can be no doubting RTE's position in the recycling stakes, churning round and round the same celebrities as guests and/or presenters with insulting regularity. We've seen Charlie Bird miserable in so many places now, he's creating a whole new genre of misery TV.
What's next? Hopefully it's "I'm a miserable celebrity, get me off the air now."
Come on RTE, there are lots of interesting, balanced, humorous journalists out there ? like Una Mullally ? who could report the news professionally without taking themselves so seriously. These are horrible times. A bit of Irish scepticism wouldn't go astray.
