The Taoiseach Brian Cowen said last week that Ireland would run out of money if the budget was not passed. May I ask the Taoiseach, why did his government pay out nearly €50bn of our money in September last to pay outstanding debts? The Taoiseach has used the analogy of running the family home before. Well, if I was running the family home and I knew I was nearly broke, I would not give most of my money away to pay a particular debt that can be paid at another time. Maybe we can switch places.
