A former IRA man and Maze escapee who has been living in the US for nearly 25 years has been denied the right to remain in the country. Pol Brennan's lawyer was notified of the decision on Friday.


A spokeswoman for the immigration courts says the order was issued on Wednesday. Brennan was taken into custody in Texas in January after the Border Patrol noticed he had an expired work permit.


Brennan has testified that he transported what he believed were explosives for the IRA on six occasions.
