Real Madrid may well be returning to Ireland following a very successful training camp in Kildare last week. The club's technical director Emilio Butragueno told the Sunday Tribune that Ireland had provided the "ideal environment" for training and that "it could be the beginning of a very good relationship for the future. We are very happy because we have received a very warm welcome and the facilities and everything have been excellent," he said. "So I have to say thanks. Ireland was chosen for everything it could offer. They have had three practice sessions every day. It was the ideal environment to start the pre-season though. The place and atmosphere are perfect." Asked whether Real would return as a result, Butragueno enthused, "Why not? The experience has been very successful, very fruitful."
