MORE than 1,000 people marched to Sandymount Strand in Dublin yesterday to ask the government to take action on climate change.

The protesters gathered in the shape of an egg-timer to demonstrate that time is running out on bringing down greenhouse gas emissions.

The event was run by the Stop Climate Chaos group, which is made up of a number of Irish charities including Oxfam.
