THE Irish Farmers' Association has warned that the agriculture sector is in crisis with families facing income losses of up to €600m.
The IFA said poor weather conditions combined with government cuts to income support have led to farming wages falling by as much as 25%.
IFA president Padraig Walshe (ABOVE) demanded the reinstatement of farm support schemes to help support the agriculture sector.
