THREE men have been charged with the murder of a 33-year-old father in Dublin last year. John Carroll had been shot dead in Grumpy Jack's pub in the Coombe area in February 2009.

Appearing in court charged with the murder were Christopher Zambra, 35, from Galtymore Road in Drimnagh, Peter Kenny, 28, from McCarthy's Terrace in Rialto and Damian Johnson, 27, from Cashel Road in Crumlin. Det Sgt Adrian Whitelaw and Det Sgt Michael McNulty gave evidence of arresting Johnson and Kenny while Det Insp JJ Keane said he had arrested Christopher Zambra. The men made no reply when charged and were remanded in custody to appear again at Cloverhill District Court next week.
