The debate over Belgium’s golden generation appears to be reaching its conclusion, with Jeff Rueter expressing a consensus on the matter.

Spain’s coach, Luis de la Fuente, has articulated his “I played ‌all right, to be honest,” for the upcoming semi-final against France. Jeff Rueter has also provided post-match quotes from both De La Fuente and Belgian manager Rudi Garcia.

In the latest from the England camp, David Hytner reports that Thomas Tuchel shares a notable history with Erling Haaland.

England’s Golf Encounter with Trump

As the anticipation grows for the England vs. Norway match, England’s captain Harry Kane has revealed that he once played golf with U.S. President Donald Trump, describing the event as “He invited me to play when I was down in Palm Beach. So yeah, when the president invites you somewhere… “It was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him. His ‌golf is pretty good, to be honest,” and commending the president’s abilities on the course.

Earlier this week, Trump mentioned to reporters that he had a round of golf with Kane, labeling the England striker as both a great player and a skilled golfer.

Confirming the encounter on Friday, just before the quarter-final with Norway, Kane shared that the game took place in Palm Beach, Florida, around 18 months ago.

“I hope I can play as well as him when I’m his age. So yeah, unique experience and I was just grateful he invited me down to play.“ Trump had complimented the Bayern Munich forward on his Truth Social platform following England’s 3-2 last-16 victory over Mexico, writing: “Harry Kane of England is a GREAT player!!!“The following day, Trump revealed the pair had played ‌golf together. “I think Kane is a great player,” Kane commented during a press conference in Miami. “I played golf with him and I like him a lot. He’s a good golfer. He’s really great.”

“It was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him. His golf is pretty good, to be honest,” Kane continued. “I hope I can play as well as him when I’m his age. So yeah, unique experience and I was just grateful he invited me down to play.”

Following England’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Mexico in the last-16, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to praise Kane, stating.

“Harry Kane of England is a GREAT player!!!”

The next day, Trump disclosed that they had indeed played golf together.

“I think Kane is a great player,” Trump remarked. “I played golf with him and I like him a lot. He’s a good golfer. He’s really great.”

Spain’s Victory Over Belgium

Turning our attention to Spain’s recent performance, they secured a 2-1 victory against Belgium, with Sid Lowe reporting from Los Angeles as Mikel Merino scored a crucial late winner.

As the tournament progresses, one among France, Spain, England, Norway, Argentina, or Switzerland will ultimately claim the World Cup title. Initially, it seemed challenging to predict such outcomes when the tournament commenced many moons ago.

With the excitement intensifying, it’s thrilling to note that by this time tomorrow, the field of six will be narrowed down to four. Tonight, the eagerly anticipated matchup between Harry Kane’s England and Erling Haaland’s Norway will take place in Miami, followed by the clash between Argentina and Switzerland in Kansas City.

As we gear up for these thrilling matches, we look forward to the reactions from last night’s triumph of Spain over Belgium.

Indeed, we are now firmly entrenched in the decisive stages of the tournament. Let’s go!
