FRESH trouble could flare up in Northern Ireland if a conservative government is elected in the next UK election, a conference heard yesterday.

Denis Bradley (right), a former vice-chairman of the policing board who is involved with reconciling both Catholic and Protestant communities in the region, made the claim at the annual conference of the loyalist Progressive Unionist Party (PUP). Bradley warned there could be serious problems if key plans regarding the future of the region were overlooked or abandoned by the Tory party.
