It has been four years since Pascal Arbez's brilliant debut Ok Cowboy, and the minute Flashmob hits play, there's something refreshingly familiar about Vitalic's swarm of electro-infused techno. While the Dijon resident has been shoved aside in recent years in favour of other Frenchies, Vitalic shows with Flashmob that he's definitely up there when it comes to making deliriously frantic, upbeat and smart tunes. 'Poison Lips', 'Your Disco Song' and the title track are obvious highlights, the only complaint being that occasionally the vigour of the sounds is pushed a little too hard. Still, you can sense his eagerness to get back on top.
