Investors in drinks company C&C will be anxious to hear good news from Friday's trading statement ahead of annual results later in the year. Reports the cider maker is on the cusp of signing deals with Diageo and Heineken for use of spare bottling capacity in Clonmel suggest there may be some welcome news. C&C continued to struggle in the Irish market in 2010 with sales declines for the Bulmers brand leading to further job losses in Tipperary. The UK showed improvement for the first time since 2007, however, with sales volumes of Magners picking up. Rumours of a possible takeover have swirled around C&C for some time, with SAB Miller and Canada's Moulson Coors mentioned as possible suitors. C&C's interim management statement will be published on Friday
